Black Cherry
This was my most challenging turning to date, a complex design with a large overhang on the interior of the vessel. In total this piece took 7 long days of turning, carving, sanding and refinement to finish. This piece of ebonised cherry is incredibly unique a truly complex carving with each avenue wrapping and intersecting meaning you can follow channels from wall to wall. This to me is the definition of a labour of love.
