Elevated Plane
Here we have a beautiful piece of London plane, with the added bonus of a burr pocket entwined within the incredible lace figuring of the wood. As seen in the photos when you get the orientation of the wood grain right you get an almost tiger like stripping that wraps and softens around the curvature of the bowl.
This pattern can even be seen flowing down the set of three hand carved feet on the base of the bowl, elevating the piece and displaying the wood further to give a greater presence to the piece. This is a really premium feeling wood with so much detail in a small package.
