Oval Oak
Oval oak is an an evolving and flowing spiral design, with each column being unique to itself. Green turning and allowing a piece of wood to warp can produce totally unique shapes, in the case an oval. Far from round this evolving pattern looks unique from every angle and almost resembles a wave like structure.
This piece has also been sandblasted. Sandblasting oak creates incredible patterns because of the medullary rays present connecting the growth rings in ways you just wouldn’t expect.
